Nokia has announced the release of its new smartphone entry-level C5 optimized for social networking and sharing of information or photos with friends. It will be available in the second quarter for 179 euros without contract.
Nokia today inaugurated its new range CSeries, and C5 Nokia introduced a new smartphone-oriented social networks and Ovi Maps, which will be marketed at a very competitive price (179 euros!). The Finnish manufacturer now has 4 main ranges: Nseries (mobile multimedia and high-end) Eseries (mobile professionals dedicated to messaging), xSeries (dedicated to mobile entertainment) and CSeries (mobile midrange).
To highlight its new mobile, the world leader promises: direct access to favorite contacts from the home screen, updates are visible from the Facebook directory, access to social networking sites ( Facebook, MySpace, etc..), not to mention instant messaging accounts and electronic mail Ovi and other suppliers available via Nokia Messaging.
The C5 is a Nokia smartphone EDGE / HSUPA classic design, incorporating a 2.2 inch QVGA screen (not touch), a camera of 3.2 megapixels, memory card of 2GB that came with the mobile, Bluetooth 2.0, the aGPS, and an audio jack 3.5mm. The new smartphone includes the latest version of Ovi cards which, in addition to pedestrian navigation and traffic free, offering the opportunity to provide locations for Facebook contacts.
The Nokia C5 should be marketed in the second quarter of 2010 suggested retail price of 179 € (without subscription).
