The U.S. manufacturer Apple announced today that it launched a lawsuit against the Taiwanese HTC, accused of violating 20 patents related to the iPhone (user interface, internal architecture and hardware).
It continues to heat up between manufacturers of mobile terminals. After the episode "Nokia Apple attack to justice," followed by the episode "Apple-cons attack Nokia" last December, now here's the episode "Apple continues HTC."We believe that competition is healthy, but competitors should create their own technology, and we do not steal ours," said Apple chief executive Steve Jobs was quoted in a statement.
HTC was surely not surprised by such attacks, since the Taiwanese manufacturer has always offered an offer close to that of the iPhone and its famous touchscreen multi-touch! In fact, HTC has been the first manufacturer to offer a mobile phone Touch (HTC Touch), toasting the courtesy of a few days to the iPhone from Apple! Subsequently, HTC has proposed the first Windows Phone Multi-Touch (HTC HD2) and, more recently Google Nexus One, also multi-touch like the iPhone! That does not seem to please the Cupertino company.Apple has filed a complaint before the U.S. Commission on International Trade (ITC) and in federal court in Delaware in the United States.
