With the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia introduced the first mobile touchscreen for the general public, enriching its music offerings with a mobile device for music that supports Comes With Music, Nokia's service which offers one year of access unlimited use of all the Nokia Music Store catalog.
The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic introduces the Media Bar ( "Media Bar"), a handy drop down menu that provides direct access to music and entertainment content, including favorite tracks, videos and photos of her owner. It has a graphic equalizer, 8GB of integrated memory to store up to 6 000 titles, supports all major digital audio formats is equipped with a 3.5mm jack and speakers stereo surround sound.
The terminal is compatible with EDGE and 3G +. It runs on Symbian S60 Touch: the new interface proposed by Nokia especially allows the user to navigate to the finger or stylus, a force feedback under finger pressure and an accelerometer to switch to landscape mode simply by turning the phone.
It also incorporates a GPS chip (compatibility A-GPS), wireless Bluetooth and WiFi. The large 3.2 inch screen has a 16:9 format. The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic also features a camera with a 3.2 megapixel Carl Zeiss lens. And with a speed of reading and recording 30 frames per second, this device is suitable for recording and playback of video clips in VGA quality.
