The Glofiish X500 is the first Pocket PC phone high resolution (VGA) marketed by E-TEN. This ultra-slim handset also shipped with a camera device autofocus (Auto Macro) and the new platform, Windows Mobile 6.
Offering a resolution of up to four times higher than the previous combination of E-TEN's VGA screen Glofiish X500 is undoubtedly one of the characteristics of this new flagship model. With a greater number of pixels on the screen, the X500 is therefore a model of choice for those wishing to enjoy their multimedia on the move. In addition, the X500 incorporates a two megapixel camera, allowing users to shoot and record videos. The X500 is based on the platform Windows Mobile 6 Professional. The latest updates to Office Mobile applications offer users the opportunity to work on their documents, spreadsheets and presentations, while benefiting from new services Windows Live for Windows Mobile that allow them to surf the Internet and operate their applications e-mail.
In addition, the X500 shipped several proprietary software, developed internally by E-TEN. Among these software solutions is particularly Namecards Manager, a new utility designed to simplify the update contacts stored on the device. With a device autofocus (Auto-Macro), the integrated camera is able to make shots at close range. Namecard Manager allows the user to photograph a card whose data are then located and retrieved using technology to optical character recognition (OCR). The data contained on the card are thus added to the list of contacts in a few steps.
Like his elder brother, the X500, the X500 comes in two colors (silver, black). It is available as comprising "Navigate 7" (France preloaded maps on mini SD 512 MB).
